Summer can be gentle or rough. This summer in Central Texas looks rough. Triple digit heat has started in June this year, so it may be a long, hot, summer (Great old film).
But even with the heat, there are still great photo opportunities Take advantage of the cool mornings to enjoy a sunrise or a walk listening to nature.
In the summer in Texas you go to the mountains to be cool. That includes the Guadalupe mountains in Big Bend and maybe North West Texas, where there are beautiful canyons.
Play with the morning light and that dusky, evening light. Animals are frequently out around dusk, so whatever animals are in your area (In my area it’s cottontails), see if you can grab some shots and then you can critique your images while you relax out of
the heat of the day.
Sun
